Humberside Fire & Rescue tackled a large Hull fire off Reservoir Road on the evening of the report, with plumes of smoke visible for miles around. Residents near Reservoir Road and Clough Road were told to keep doors and windows closed while crews dealt with the incident.
The fire service said it had multiple appliances in attendance and told people to stay clear so crews could work at the site. Humberside Police separately said Reservoir Road in Hull was closed while emergency services were attending an ongoing incident, and asked people to avoid the Clough Road area where possible.

Humberside Fire & Rescue said: “We currently have a large fire on Reservoir Road, Hull. We have multiple appliances in attendance dealing with this incident. Please stay clear of the area so that Fire crews can carry out their work.” It also said: “Residents are advised to keep doors and windows closed.”
