PlayStation gave the first look at a Marvel Wolverine PS5 console package built around the PS5 Digital Edition – Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition Bundle. The reveal pairs the console with a matching DualSense wireless controller and a Marvel’s Wolverine game code, turning the game into hardware people can actually buy.
Jock, the Scottish graphic artist who contributed to the key art for Marvel’s Wolverine, said, “I wanted to show Wolverine at his fiercest for Marvel’s Wolverine Limited Edition PS5 Console bundle and accessories.” He added, “I still draw all my artwork traditionally, so the opportunity to marry cutting-edge hardware with the energy and looseness of hand-drawn ink is incredibly exciting.”
Battle Yellow on PS5
The Battle Yellow Limited Edition bundle takes its cues from Insomniac’s Battle Reborn suit and claws, with exposed claw marks worked into the design. PlayStation said the look lets players peek under the hood of the PS5 Digital Edition and see what’s underneath, a sharper visual choice than the usual logo treatment on limited hardware.
The same design language carries over to the DualSense wireless controller, where the slashes echo Wolverine’s claws rather than simply repeating the console art. That keeps the set visually consistent for buyers who want the theme without taking the full bundle.
Global sale plans
The bundle will be available globally, and the DualSense Wireless Controller – Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition will also be sold separately worldwide. For players who already own a PS5 or PS5 Pro, PlayStation is also offering PS5 and PS5 Pro Console Covers – Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition, including covers for both disc and digital-style consoles.
PlayStation also revealed PS5 Pro Console Covers – Marvel’s Wolverine Adamantium Limited Edition, which use a premium metallic finish inspired by the adamantium bonded to Logan’s skeleton and claws. A matching DualSense Wireless Controller – Marvel’s Wolverine Adamantium Limited Edition will be sold on its own, giving collectors another route into the lineup without buying the full bundle.
Jock’s hand-drawn edge
Jock said, “I’m stunned by how well the console and accessories captured the raw energy of the drawing, bringing Wolverine to life in a completely unique way.” That reaction fits the way PlayStation framed the collaboration: a limited run built with Insomniac Games, Marvel Games, and Jock, not a generic repaint with a new label.
The only gap is timing. PlayStation has shown the PS5 Digital Edition – Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition Bundle and mapped out the matching accessories, but it has not said when the bundle itself goes on sale. For now, the practical takeaway is simple: buyers can plan around a global hardware rollout, but the standalone dates and the bundle release date still sit in different buckets.
