What Arnold is facing
Arnold was arrested in Tampa, Florida, in early February on felony charges connected to a robbery and kidnapping case. The charges include four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery involving three men. He turned himself in to authorities on June 24, was released from custody after posting a $1 million bond on June 30, and had been released by the Detroit Lions on June 29.
He was drafted in the first round by the Detroit Lions in 2024, but his availability has become a much bigger issue than his draft status or early NFL potential. The Seahawks are still evaluating cornerback depth after Riq Woolen left in free agency, which helps explain why Arnold is on their radar.
Why the Seahawks are interested
Macdonald said the Seahawks were aware that there are other factors around Arnold's case, but said the team wanted to learn more before making any final call. He also said people around Arnold have given the organization positive feedback about him, and that the Seahawks would consider any relationships they have in their evaluation process.
That approach fits a team trying to sort out depth without rushing into a decision. Arnold also had a visit scheduled with the New Orleans Saints this week and previously visited the Houston Texans, so Seattle is not the only team looking into the situation.
For now, the Seahawks are still gathering information. But the weekend workout made one thing clear: despite the seriousness of Terrion Arnold charges, NFL interest remains active while teams weigh both the football fit and the legal uncertainty.
