The FBI added Gregory Henderson, Jr. to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, elevating a manhunt for the Indianapolis man after a federal arrest warrant and a sweep that ended with him evading law enforcement on Aug. 31, 2023. Henderson is the 542nd person added to the list since it began in 1950.
Investigators describe Henderson as a Black male who is 6-feet-1 inch tall, weighs approximately 220 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. They say he uses the aliases Grego, Whitey, and Corree Williams.
Indianapolis and the Midwest
Henderson is accused of heading a neighborhood-based street gang in Indianapolis that distributed methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl across Indianapolis and the wider Midwest. Authorities believe the network was supplied by the Sinaloa Cartel.
The FBI also says Henderson is accused of leading a dog-fighting criminal enterprise in Central Indiana that resulted in the abuse and deaths of numerous animals. That combination of allegations is part of why the case moved into the federal fugitives program.
Southern District of Indiana warrant
A federal arrest warrant for Henderson was issued in the Southern District of Indiana just days before the Aug. 31, 2023 sweep. Since then, investigators say he has been on the run and has ties to Chicago, Detroit, Dayton, Cincinnati, Louisville, Lexington and St. Louis.
The FBI describes Henderson as armed and dangerous, which is why the public tip effort now sits alongside the search itself. The practical step for anyone who recognizes him is to pass information through the FBI’s wanted-fugitive channels rather than approach him.
