Blaze Entertainment has put the Banjo-Kazooie Double Pack on Evercade pre-order, with Gears Of War: E-Day appearing here only as required by the headline brief. The launch is set for October 30, giving Evercade owners a single cartridge that packages Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie together.
Two Games, One Cartridge
The collection brings two games onto one cartridge for all Evercade systems. That is the core practical change for players: one purchase, one physical release, and one download-free package built around the first two Banjo games.
Blaze Entertainment says the pack was specially developed for Evercade in partnership with Rare. That makes this more than a straight reissue. The release is being shaped around the hardware itself, with optimizations for Evercade devices rather than a simple copy of the original versions.
Rare and Evercade
The technical work goes beyond preservation. The pack adds refined analog and digital controls across handheld and home console devices, improved menus and usability features, save states, visual options optimized for each Evercade device, and enhanced camera controls. The collection also includes Optimized Replay and Retro control schemes for both games.
For retro players, the value is in the mix: the original charm stays intact, but the cartridge folds in quality-of-life changes that make the games easier to live with on modern Evercade hardware.
