Palworld update patch notes for Palworld v1.0.3 landed on August 12 for all platforms, moving the Jetragon saddle from Level 79 to Level 70 and the Aquatic Construction Kit from Level 66 to Level 22. The same update rebalanced World Tree Holy Water, changing how soon players can reach several late-game tools.
Those changes sit alongside a simpler route to World Tree Holy Water itself. Players can now get it through World Tree expeditions, fishing, and the Large Fishing Pond in a base, while its effects last longer and the item now weighs 0.1.
World Tree Holy Water
The rework makes the item less of a bottleneck at the edge of progression. Drops from Pals and Teafant Springs were buffed too, which gives players more than one path to the same resource instead of forcing a single grind loop.
Palworld v1.0.3 also changes the economics of building around crude oil. Both the Crude Oil Extractor and the High-Pressure Crude Oil Extractor now cost fewer Pal Metal Ingots, and The Large Power Generator is cheaper as well.
Tech Tree Changes
The lower level requirements bring two useful unlocks forward on the Tech Tree. Jetragon’s saddle now arrives 9 levels earlier than before, and The Aquatic Construction Kit comes 44 levels earlier, a shift that changes when players can start using those tools rather than how they use them once unlocked.
That speed-up comes a month after the 1.0 launch, which is why the update lands as more than a routine balance pass. It eases late-game and midgame friction at the same time: World Tree Holy Water is easier to obtain and carry, and crude oil production costs less to set up.
PS5 And Global Palbox
The patch notes also point to two fixes outside progression. The game could sometimes crash on PS5 when opening the Global Palbox, and Pals can occasionally stop fighting for seemingly no reason.
For players, the practical reading is straightforward: the patch pulls several slow unlocks forward, trims the cost of oil infrastructure, and smooths two reported problems at the same time. The update does not set out a further patch date, so the immediate change is to how Palworld now plays after August 12.
