Palworld patch notes for v1.0.3 went live on August 12, moving the Jetragon saddle from Level 79 to Level 70 and changing several end-game systems at once. The same update also rebalanced World Tree Holy Water and lowered the cost of crude oil infrastructure.
The patch gives players earlier access to two Tech Tree unlocks. Jetragon now arrives nine levels sooner, while The Aquatic Construction Kit moves from Level 66 to Level 22, a much earlier point in progression.
World Tree Holy Water
World Tree Holy Water was completely rebalanced. Pal and Teafant Springs drops were buffed, and the item can now come from World Tree expeditions, fishing, and the Large Fishing Pond in a base. Its effect duration was increased, and its weight dropped to 0.1.
Those changes push the item from a narrow resource into something easier to collect during normal play. A player returning after August 12 no longer has to treat World Tree Holy Water as a late, awkward supply item when building around base activity and expedition rewards.
Pal Metal Ingots
The patch also lowers build costs for The Crude Oil Extractor and the Pressure Crude Oil Extractor, both of which now use fewer Pal Metal Ingots. The Large Power Generator is cheaper as well, trimming another piece of the cost to support crude oil production.
That sits beside a design that had encouraged players to raid Oil Rigs for crude oil. Before August 12, the slower setup pushed players toward those runs; after v1.0.3, the base path is easier to build, but the game still keeps Oil Rigs in the economy. Players who were held back by Pal Metal Ingots now have a cheaper route into the same end-game loop.
v1.0.3 also fixed a crash on PS5 tied to opening the Global Palbox and addressed a bug where Pals could occasionally stop fighting for no apparent reason. For players who had been waiting on the update’s progression changes, the practical next step is to rebuild around the earlier Jetragon and Aquatic Construction Kit unlocks, then compare whether the cheaper extractor chain changes how much they rely on Oil Rigs.
