Sunnya Sultan, who saw the tour at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Aug. 7, posted a TikTok asking whether the performer she watched was really Usher. She said, “Usher came out. The real Usher came out but then he sang like half a song, maybe for like 40 seconds.”
She added, “Then he goes into this darkness and he comes out, and as he’s walking, I think everyone really thought that was Usher.” Sultan also said, “But as the first song finishes, I think everyone started getting confused because the way he was moving wasn’t really Usher.” Her account gave the rumor traction because it tied the claim to a specific stretch of the performance, not just a blurry clip.

Usher answered two days later with video of himself performing in the same white ensemble. He wrote, “Ya’ll are funny…clone? They can’t clone this??” and followed with, “How ya’ll come up with this? AI ain’t that advanced.”
The contrast between Sultan’s description and Usher’s response is the whole story: one viewer believed she saw both the real singer and a look-alike on the same night, while Usher brushed the idea off as internet overreach.
