The Pokemon Company says Pokémon Bank will end on February 26, 2027 at 12:00 PM, and players will lose the ability to move stored Pokémon into Pokemon HOME the same day. Anyone keeping Pokémon in the service has one deadline to work against: send them out before the shutdown.
The company put the deadline in plain terms: “We regret to inform you that Pokémon Bank will be discontinuing its service on February 26, 2027 (Friday) at 12:00 PM.” It also said, “If you wish to transfer Pokémon stored in Pokémon Bank, please send them to Pokémon HOME before the Pokémon Bank service ends.”
Pokemon Bank deadline
Pokemon Bank will go offline on February 26, 2027, and the transfer function from Pokemon Bank to Pokemon HOME will be discontinued on that date. After that point, players will not be able to transfer Pokémon from Pokemon Bank to Pokemon Home, and it will no longer be possible to store Pokémon in Pokemon Bank.
For anyone with creatures still parked in the service, the practical step is straightforward: move them before the cutoff. The announcement does not give a grace period, and the same date governs both the shutdown and the transfer cutoff.
Pokemon Home in October
The same announcement also says support for Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen is coming to Pokemon Home in October. That creates a tight timeline: one part of the service is being turned off while another feature is being added later in the year.
The result is a split deadline for players who use the broader Pokemon series ecosystem. If the goal is to preserve Pokémon already in Pokemon Bank, the transfer window closes in February 2027. If the goal is to use the new support for Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen, that arrives in October, well before the shutdown.
What matters now is the order of operations. Players who want to keep their Pokémon should move them first and treat October as a separate feature rollout, not a substitute for the transfer deadline.
