Jennie Bond said William and Kate are completely aligned in their love of nature and their belief in the climate crisis facing the world. She said William has been supporting Catherine with her early years work, and that they are partners and far more equal partners than many future kings and queens before them.
William's wildfire message
The India trip follows William's recent public remarks on wildfires and climate change. Last week, he issued a heartfelt message after devastating wildfires raged across parts of Europe, and said the fires are a stark reminder of the dangers posed by climate change.
Last month, he wrote on X: "Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the devastating wildfires across France, Spain and the UK." He added: "We are deeply grateful to the firefighters, emergency services and volunteers working tirelessly in extraordinarily difficult conditions."
Three children at home
Myers' description of the marriage also pointed to the couple's life as parents to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and their third child, who is 8. George is 13, and the family dynamic sits behind the public work that now takes Kate to India with William.
The clearest next step is the November 2026 Earthshot Prize ceremony in India, where Kate is set to appear alongside William. What role she will play there has not been stated, but the pairing shows that their environmental work will be presented as a joint effort rather than a solo one.
