The Miami Dolphins activated rookie wide receiver Chris Bell off the non-football injury list on Sunday, making the third-round pick eligible to join the roster.
Bell was selected 94th overall in the 2026 NFL Draft after a productive four-year career at Louisville. Over 47 career games and 36 starts, he recorded 151 receptions for 2,166 yards and 12 touchdowns.
What Bell did at Louisville
Bell spent four seasons with the Cardinals from 2022 to 2025 and became one of the more accomplished receivers in the ACC. In 2023, he helped Louisville reach the ACC Championship Game for the first time in school history, and in 2025 he was a first-team All-ACC selection and a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award.
For Miami, the move is a straightforward but important step. Bell is now available to begin his NFL transition after missing time on the non-football injury list, and the Dolphins can now work him into their plans as a rookie receiver. For a third-round draft pick, getting onto the field and into the daily routine is the next key step.
