EasyJet LBA flight cancellations will take effect after 5 January next year, ending the airline’s service from Leeds Bradford Airport. Customers with bookings beyond that date were offered either a free transfer from an alternative airport or a refund.
Leeds Bradford Airport routes
EasyJet said it was withdrawing from the Yorkshire airport after a review of its routes, and that its focus is on maintaining and developing routes which prove most popular with customers. The airline said it will no longer operate flights from Leeds Bradford Airport after 5 January.
The carrier had offered six destinations from the airport: Barcelona, Paris, Belfast, Malaga, Mallorca and Geneva. That means the exit reaches across both short-haul city routes and holiday services, rather than trimming just one part of its Leeds Bradford schedule.
Barcelona, Paris and Belfast
There is one detail that does not line up neatly across the remaining booking pages. EasyJet’s website had no available flights from Leeds Bradford to Geneva, while flights to Malaga and Mallorca appeared to no longer be running after November.
By contrast, flights to Barcelona, Paris and Belfast still appeared to be available until January. For passengers, that creates a short remaining window before the withdrawal date, but only on some routes and only until the end of the current booking period.
EasyJet booking options
For customers already holding tickets beyond 5 January next year, EasyJet said they were offered a free transfer to flights from an alternative airport or a refund. The practical choice now is straightforward: take the money back, or move the trip to another airport if the new timetable works.
The unanswered part is whether every Leeds Bradford route will stay live until January. EasyJet has set the end date for all flights from the airport, but its own booking pages show different availability by destination before then.
