Rangers have requested updated information on Kim Min-su while they continue to assess attacking options, with the Girona winger now on the radar of Fenerbahce, Ajax and Lyon. The move fits a wider search for wide reinforcements, even as Rangers close in on Couhaib Driouech from PSV.
Kim Min-su at 20
Min-Su Kim is 20 years old, South Korean, and spent last season on loan at FC Andorra. He remains under contract with Girona until 2027, so any move now would have to work within a deal structure that still gives his club control over the timeline.
That contract length is why Rangers are gathering fresh information before pushing further. A player with that much time left on his deal usually does not move cheaply, and Girona can still decide whether they want a temporary exit or a permanent one.
Rangers and four rivals
Rangers have not made an offer for Kim. That keeps the interest at the exploratory stage, with Fenerbahce, Ajax and Lyon also asking for updated information rather than forcing the issue with a bid.
For Rangers, the timing matters because they are already moving on another winger. Couhaib Driouech completed his Rangers medical after two days of tests in the UK, and the deal is understood to be worth around £7 million.
Girona’s choice point
Girona could consider letting Kim leave on either a temporary or permanent basis. That creates a clear decision point for Rangers: keep watching and risk losing the lane to another club, or decide whether the profile is worth turning interest into a formal move.
With Driouech expected to attend tonight’s Europa League clash with Jagiellonia, Rangers are acting like a club that knows one wide signing may not be enough. If they want Kim, the next step has to be more than information gathering.
