Kj Biermann was arrested Monday, August 17, in Alpharetta, Georgia, on charges of aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual assault. The 15-year-old son of Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann was being held at the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center, and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for September 8.
A judge did not set bond. That left the case moving on a short timetable, with the hearing set to be the next formal step in court records.

Kj Biermann’s arrest lands in the middle of an ongoing divorce and custody dispute between his parents. Kroy Biermann requested sole custody of the exes' minor children and accused Kim Zolciak of neglect, calling her unfit and unstable to parent their kids.
Zolciak denied those accusations in March, saying, "These accusations are completely false and nothing more than a deliberate attempt by Kroy to defame my character". She also said, "I spent five weeks away working on two TV shows to support my family and make sure my children are cared for — something I will never apologize for."

In April, Zolciak said the parents had not modified their custody arrangements and described a temporary custody order she said she signed at the end of January. She said it required both parents to take part in two counseling sessions per month for two months, then one session per month thereafter.
She said she was out of the country from February 26 through March 28 because of contractual filming obligations on two separate productions. "During that time, I did not have a single day off, making it impossible to attend the required counseling sessions," she said.
By May, a judge had ruled that Kroy Biermann would have primary physical custody of their youngest children. Neither parent immediately addressed KJ’s arrest, leaving the September 8 hearing as the next point when the case can move forward in court.
