Nike’s One Piece sneakers are no longer just a tease: the company has unveiled three Air Max Plus colorways built around Devil Fruits and set a global SNKRS release for September 25. The rollout stretches beyond shoes, which makes this a broader retail drop than a single limited pair.

Three pairs sit at the center of the collection, each priced at $180 and tied to the Gomu Gomu no Mi, Ope Ope no Mi, and Mera Mera no Mi. Nick Remlinger, GM, Energy Gaming, Nike, said, “We were inspired by the superhuman abilities that are unleashed when One Piece characters eat the Devil Fruits, much like the feeling an athlete has when they put on a pair of Nikes.”
He added, “We then started reimagining the beloved Air Max Plus in a way that fans of the silhouette have never seen before.” That is the real commercial hook here: Nike is not just borrowing graphics, it is using a familiar model and reworking the upper patterns to match each Devil Fruit’s effect, from fire control to rubber-like stretch and the ROOM transport reference.
Tokyo to Washington DC
September 4-6 brings the first pop-up in Tokyo, followed by September 12 events in Hong Kong, Jakarta, Mexico City, Seoul, Shanghai, Taipei, and Umeda. Another batch lands on September 19 in Amsterdam, Dallas, Decatur, Düsseldorf, Lawrenceville, London, Madrid, Milan, San Diego, Stockholm, and Washington DC, with Australia joining through Supply from October 16-18.
Multiple apparel items are part of Nike’s One Piece collection, so buyers looking only at the shoes will miss the broader release window. The collection was teased through.SWOOSH over the previous few weeks, which helped build a staggered calendar instead of a one-day drop.
SNKRS poll and September 18
The most complicated piece is the Nike Air Max Plus Gomu Gomu SNKRS release. Users can tap an option in the poll on the main SNKRS home feed from August 23 through September 18, and select participants will receive a push notification on September 18 telling them they can enter the release.
That means the collection is heavily dated, but access to the Gomu Gomu pair still runs through a separate participation step before the global SNKRS release on September 25. Nike said, “As we bring this collection to life, there are even more surprises coming — just like any great adventure.” For buyers, the practical move is simple: watch the poll window, then the push notification, because the release procedure is not identical across the three Air Max Plus colorways.
