Smerud has been clear that the team is not lacking in commitment. “We have some injuries in these games, but I’m very happy with us being competitive,” he said, and the evidence backs that up. Smerud added that being “on the front foot of playing and creating, instead of having to defend very deep and a lot” is a tendency he likes, and it is easy to see why.
