Christiansen said he was home around 6 p.m. when he noticed something strange through his window. He described seeing dark clouds, then a mass of white that he first mistook for birds before realizing it was debris. He said he tried to get his dogs into his bedroom and had about 10 seconds to react before the storm hit.
He said his patio furniture ended up submerged in his pool, his pool fence was blown toward his home, and plants were blown away. Christiansen said, "I'm just grateful that all of us are okay."

Christiansen said he plans to begin cleanup efforts Monday and will also have his roof inspected. That next step turns the Sunday storm into a practical repair problem for the home, with the backyard damage already visible and the roof left to be checked for any other damage.
