Traffic Wales said the affected stretch runs between J24 Faenol and J23A Pensarn, and it has kept the road closed in both directions. Inrix reported the traffic at 7.45am, while Traffic Wales later advised of 30 minute delays and diversions.
Abergele East and Llanddulas
AA road maps is showing major delays on the A55 and around Abergele and Llanddulas after a police incident on the dual carriageway. Traffic cameras are also showing major delays at Abergele and Llanddulas, with traffic being diverted off the A55 at Abergele East and queues visible at Llanddulas.
One commuter described the traffic as “rammed”, and another described the A55 as “gridlocked”. Those reports line up with the corridor-wide delay shown by Traffic Wales, AA road maps and Inrix, all pointing to the same stretch through Conwy.
