Troopers responded again at 7:39 p.m., this time to a single-vehicle crash in Marion Oaks. Florida Highway Patrol said a Dodge Ram was speeding south on Marion Oaks Course, just south of Southwest 141st Lane, when it ran off the road and onto the west shoulder.
The Dodge Ram hit a mailbox, then a large tree, and burst into flames. The driver was not identified in the report, and FHP said it plans to use dental records to make a positive identification. That leaves the second fatal crash with a name still pending while the morning wreck already has a hometown and age attached to it.
