During his four years at AAMU, he participated in the Honors Program, University Echo Student Ambassadors and the Student Government Association, where he served for three years and became vice president. He later said student leadership was the part of college he enjoyed most.
“Being involved helped me become well equipped to be an asset to any committee or team that I join,” Jackson said. He also reflected on graduation in 2023 by saying, “The crowd, the graduates, the emotions, the anticipation — everything you love about graduation, I experienced it all.” He added, “Not only did I accomplish my goal of finishing in four years, but I exceeded my own expectations.”
That background helps explain why he is now part of the alumni effort around this game. His relationship with Alabama A&M has moved from campus leadership to service in Atlanta, and the upcoming matchup offers a natural bridge between the two.
