Tottenham and Everton are in advanced talks over separate deals involving Iliman Ndiaye and Richarlison, with the transfer deadline set to pass on Tuesday.
The proposed moves would link the two clubs in opposite directions. Ndiaye, 26, only joined Everton from Marseille in 2024, but he is now attracting interest from Manchester City as well as Tottenham. Earlier this summer, he also held talks with Saudi club Al-Hilal, underlining how much attention he has drawn in this window.
Richarlison, meanwhile, could be on the move back to Everton after joining Tottenham from Everton in 2022. The Tottenham forward is in the final year of his contract, and the situation has become more pressing after he told Spurs head coach Roberto de Zerbi too many times that he wants to leave.
What the deal could mean
For Tottenham, the talks come during a busy summer in which they have already signed eight first-team players. They also lost 2-0 at home to Newcastle on Saturday, when Richarlison, Kevin Danso and Pape Matar Sarr were not included in Roberto de Zerbi's match squad. A potential deal for Ndiaye would add another attacking option as the club continues to reshape the group before the deadline.
Everton, for their part, are working on several fronts. Alongside the possible move for Richarlison, the Toffees are also pursuing attacking and defensive targets including Folarin Balogun, Beto, Jack Grealish, Kenny Tete and Andrei Ratiu. That gives them a wide set of options, but it also suggests their deadline plans are still very much in motion.
With Tuesday approaching, the next few days could define two squads at once. Tottenham Transfers may end up centered on whether Ndiaye heads to north London, while Everton have the chance to bring Richarlison back and continue their wider rebuild.
