Isaiah Reeves was arrested Monday after voluntarily appearing at the Attala County Sheriff’s Office with his attorney in the Johnny Ray and Nicole Mississippi case. He faces first-degree murder charges in connection with the deaths of Johnny Ray Reeves II and Nicole Massey in Attala County.
Attala County Coroner Sam Bell identified the victims as Reeves, 38, and Massey, 39. Their bodies were taken to the state crime lab for autopsies after they were found deceased inside their home in the Zama community on Sunday afternoon.

Attala County deputies and EMS were dispatched at approximately 4:58 p.m. on Sunday after an individual arriving at the home found a man and woman unresponsive. Bell’s identification tied the scene to Reeves and Massey, and the case moved from a welfare check into a homicide investigation.
Sheriff Curtis Pope said Isaiah Reeves is the nephew of Johnny Ray Reeves II. That family connection sits alongside the charge itself: the suspect appeared on his own with an attorney, but the arrest still followed and the case remained in active investigation.

Isaiah Reeves is being held at the Leake County Correctional Facility on a $2 million bond.
