Ballard will step into daytime as William Baines after building a career that started with Frankie Hubbard on Loving and The City. He later kept working in prime-time television and film, with credits on Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Criminal Minds, Queen Sugar, NCIS, The Rookie, and Law & Order.
His run on Law & Order included a three-episode stretch as Defense Attorney Ron Delahunt in the 2024-25 season.
