Gael Cameron is back at the center of the Nathan Gallagher case after New South Wales Police issued an arrest warrant when he failed to appear in court on Sept. 1. The move pushes the matter beyond the earlier December arrest and keeps the domestic violence case active in public view.
New South Wales Police also released a mugshot photo of Gallagher on Tuesday. That follows his Dec. 27 arrest in Australia, when he was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent and common assault, then granted conditional bail on Dec. 28.

Gallagher and Cameron joined the Below Deck franchise during season nine in 2024, met on the show and formed a romantic connection during filming. By season 10, they had returned, rekindled their romance and welcomed a son together by the end of the season. Cameron has since appeared in guest appearances on season 11 with their child, while Gallagher is currently starring on season 11 and season 12 is actively filming.

Rolling Stone reported that a local court cited Gael Cameron as the woman allegedly assaulted by Gallagher. The court account said he used one hand to cover her mouth and nose, then placed both hands around her neck with enough pressure that she could not breathe; it also said he struck her on the left side of her jaw with an open palm after she elbowed him, and later gripped her neck with both hands and lifted her up while applying force.
Gallagher has pushed back on that public account. On Aug. 27, he said, “what has been publicly reported, however, represents only one side of what was an extremely complicated situation.” He also said, “I’m not claiming I was perfect. I wasn’t. I made mistakes and I will take responsibility for my own actions. But I will not accept being portrayed solely through one person’s account of a relationship when there is another side and evidence relating to it,” which leaves the warrant as the clearest procedural development now driving the story.
