A judge sentenced Arlonzo Williams to 875 months in prison in the Minneapolis shooting at Bar Zia. Dantrell Clark received 715.5 months for the same attack. The sentences follow convictions in a case tied to a gang confrontation that ended with DaMarco Fletcher, Jr. dead and three other people wounded.
Williams’ term equals nearly 73 years. Clark’s sentence works out to nearly 60 years. Both men were 26 and 25, respectively, when they were sentenced on Tuesday.
Assistant Hennepin County Attorney Kali Gardner urged the judge to “send a message” and said, “Minneapolis' beauty and successes are overshadowed by gun violence, ego, revenge and gangs.” She also said, “These Facebook posts that were made public describe what happened. A confession of sorts, a lack of remorse, a lack of any consideration of the family of Mr. Fletcher, lack of any consideration of this actual gang war.”

Gardner said the public Facebook posts tied to Williams were allegedly directed by him from jail and became part of how the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office handled motions in homicide trials. She also said, “There is absolutely no reason why victims' families should come across a crime scene photo of their deceased loved one on Facebook, and being mocked or made fun of all of this done to continue that rivalry.”
The shooting happened on the night of Oct. 7, 2025, in downtown Minneapolis, when police said a gang confrontation at Bar Zia erupted into gunfire. The case ended with convictions for second-degree murder, murder with gang motivation, attempted murder, and attempted murder with gang motivation. Fletcher was 21 years old when he was killed. The record leaves the broader question of each man’s exact role in the shooting to the convictions themselves, not the sentence length.
For Fletcher’s family, the court date turned the case from an open wound into a long prison term measured in decades. For the wounded survivors, the outcome fixes punishment, but the factual record here stops at sentencing and does not add another court step after Tuesday.
