Tanzir Ali was found guilty of attempted murder after a 16-year-old boy was shot in the head on London Road in Sheffield. Sheffield news from the court case also shows Sharna Osborne was found guilty of assisting an offender, with both defendants due to be sentenced on 18 November.

The boy was left with life-changing injuries after the shooting at about 17:15 GMT on 24 November last year. Greg Dakin said the lives of the victim and his family had been changed forever by the attack.
Ali had previously admitted possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. His attempted murder conviction came after Sheffield Crown Court heard CCTV evidence from the scene.

South Yorkshire Police said officers secured vital CCTV evidence after the incident. The footage captured the exact moment of the shooting and led to both Ali and Osborne being charged.
During Ali's trial, the court was told he had not meant to press the trigger on the weapon and did not know it was loaded. The footage showed him with several others during an altercation with the victim, then pulling a gun from his pocket, hearing a loud bang, and the boy falling to the ground.
The CCTV pictures also showed Ali putting the firearm back in his pocket and fleeing the scene. South Yorkshire Police later said he travelled to Aberdeen after the shooting, where he was arrested alongside Osborne.

Osborne had booked a hotel for them both using false details, and she denied the charge of assisting an offender. Greg Dakin said the boy's family were forced to wait at his bedside, not knowing if he would survive, and said Ali attempted to kill a child and fled hundreds of miles away with Osborne's help.
Both defendants were remanded into custody ahead of sentencing on 18 November.
