Halloween: The Game adds four Player Progression Levels

Halloween: The Game puts four player progression levels at the center of its system, with matches and the singleplayer story mode feeding XP into unlocks across the game. For players, the practical change is simple: every run now has a clearer path toward characters, abilities, weapons, cosmetics, and challenges.

Player Progression Levels

The game divides XP into four distinct categories of Player Progression Levels: Profile Level, Killer Level, Civilian Level, and Weapon Level. Profile Level collects all gained XP regardless of role, while Killer Level tracks progress as the Boogeyman and Civilian Level tracks each playable Civilian character. Weapon Level is tied to specific equipable weapons used as Michael.

That structure gives Halloween: The Game a cleaner economy than a single all-purpose rank. Players who stick to one role can still advance on that track, while broader play feeds the shared Profile Level at the same time.

XP, Challenges, Unlocks

Players earn XP by completing matches or playing the singleplayer story mode, and the game folds that progress into rewards that include characters, abilities, weapons, cosmetics, and challenges. Growing Player Progression Levels also unlocks additional playable Civilian characters, new Michael abilities, supplemental Starting Items for Civilians, cosmetic rewards, new tiers of challenges, executions, and more.

Passive Challenges are split into multiple categories for Killer and Civilian play and track automatically no matter which character a player selects. Progressive Challenges go further, tying progress to specific Civilian characters, Michael Skins, and weapon types. The result is a system that rewards repetition without forcing every session into the same lane.

Michael and Civilians

Michael loadouts start with two traits, Killer Sense and Shape Jump, and players can choose three distinct Michael abilities such as Reality Tear, Blackout, and Detection Pulse. They can also customize Michael’s appearance with Killer Skins and Tints, then unlock and select new starting weapons with earnable tints. Halloween: The Game also includes customizable player profile cards and a rollable perk card system with decks and an earnable currency.

The game says there are 100s of challenges, but it does not give an exact count for each category, which leaves the scale broad rather than pinned down. It also offers optional challenges across all six playable chapters in Singleplayer Story Mode Challenges, and completing every singleplayer challenge unlocks a legendary look for committed Boogeymen.

For Players of Halloween, the takeaway is not just that there is more to do, but that progression is spread across role, weapon, and profile tracks at once. That should make the game’s replay loop more durable than a flat unlock ladder, especially for anyone who wants to move between Michael, Civilians, and AI matches without wasting progress.
