Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 got new Fortnite sprites in v42.10, and the list is practical rather than decorative: Onigiri, X-Ray, Mega Man, and Overshield. The update also folds in new loot hacks and three new match overrides, giving Battle Royale players more ways to alter a match as soon as they log back in.
v42.10 Adds Four Sprites
Four sprites arrived in the update, with Sprite Dust serving as the unlock path for the added weapons. The same system also ties in Overwatch's Caduceus Staff, Mortal Kombat's Scorpion's Combat Kit, The Wrecker Revolver, The Deadeye Assault Rifle, and The Holo Twister Assault Rifle, so the patch is not just adding collectibles; it is widening the set of tools players can pull into a run.
Three new match overrides join them: Big Head, Prop Hunt, and Action Hero. Big Head makes everyone's head huge, Prop Hunt turns players into a prop if they crouch and stand still, and Action Hero allows hangtime when aiming down sights in midair.
Fortnite OG and Lego Fortnite Odyssey
Fortnite OG also gets a brand-new Battle Pass based on Chapter 1 Season X, while Lego Fortnite Odyssey picks up Lego Batman content in the same update. That keeps the patch from being a single-mode refresh and pushes it across Fortnite's different lanes at once.
Players on the Lego Fortnite Odyssey island can use bat-gear, including the Batmobile, while the journal now includes missions to help the Dark Knight track stolen parts of Gotham City. The event runs until Oct. 15, and players can recruit Lego Batman as a villager at the end of it.
Lego Fortnite Pass Dates
The current Lego Fortnite Pass has been extended until Oct. 31, which means the next pass will not be Batman-themed. That creates the sharpest wrinkle in the update: the Batman content is limited-time, but the pass timeline moves past it, so players chasing the themed rewards have a finite window before the mode shifts again.
The Batman Caped Crusader pack returns on Sept. 17, giving players another short-term target before the Lego Fortnite Odyssey event closes. For now, the clearest move is simple: check in on v42.10, use Sprite Dust where needed, and decide whether the new sprites or the Batman event is the more useful reason to jump back into Fortnite first.
