Chase Daniel is adding a new Sunday NFL show. On September 1, 2026, he said he is officially teaming up with Bussin’ With The Boys for THE FIRST READ while keeping THE BREAKDOWN alive on film.

The new show will break down the biggest games, quarterbacks, storylines, and moments around the league every Sunday. Daniel also said THE BREAKDOWN will stay focused on film and quarterback play, which keeps the two programs distinct instead of overlapping into the same lane.

THE FIRST READ on Sundays

“Introducing THE FIRST READ: my brand-new Sunday NFL show with Bussin’ With The Boys,” Daniel said in his post. He described it as a former quarterback’s weekly take on what happened across the league, a setup that gives the show a clear editorial hook without pretending to be a generic recap.

“Every Sunday, we’re breaking down the biggest games, quarterbacks, storylines, and moments from around the league, giving you a former QB’s perspective on everything that happened that weekend,” he wrote. For viewers, that means the show is built around interpretation, not just highlights, which is the part most football programming leaves out.

THE BREAKDOWN stays in film

“Bussin’ With The Boys will also be the new exclusive partner of my show THE BREAKDOWN, where we’ll continue going inside the film & breaking down QB play at a level you won’t get anywhere else,” Daniel said. That split matters because it separates a broad Sunday reaction show from a deeper analysis product, instead of forcing one format to do both jobs.

Daniel’s move also extends a run that already includes work. He joined in 2025, then appeared on the main SEC Nation set and called Thursday Night Football college football games in 2026. That makes this a wider distribution play, not a side project, and it keeps him visible across multiple football audiences at once.

Growing with Bussin’ With The Boys

The timing fits Bussin’ With The Boys’ recent expansion. Will Compton and Taylor Lewan left Barstool Sports in January 2025, later added a FanDuel sponsorship deal, and then expanded again with a new college football show with Josh Pate ahead of the 2026 football season.

Daniel’s addition gives the brand another voice with both University of Missouri roots and NFL experience, and the pitch is straightforward: one show for the weekend’s big-picture football conversation, another for the film room. What readers still need is the actual debut date and the place it will land, because September 1 announced the partnership, not the first episode.
