Princess, a street dog from Mexico, was rescued after being found with hundreds of ticks on her ears. Loving PAWSabilities said the dog is now doing well and still needs a foster home so she can keep recovering with veterinary care.
The rescue described Princess as approximately 1.5 to 2 years old and 29 pounds. It said it will cover her food, supplies, medications and veterinary care, while asking a foster to provide “the safe home and love.”
Southern California search
On Aug. 30, Loving PAWSabilities said it was searching for a foster home for Princess anywhere in Southern California. The group said she had been living on the streets of Mexicali, Mexico before it stepped in after learning of her plight.
Loving PAWSabilities described Princess as an incredibly sweet, gentle and loving girl who is good with other dogs and cats. It also said she was still trusting and full of love despite what she had gone through.
Carolina Mora steps up
After the rescue shared Princess’s images and an urgent plea, Southern California native Carolina Mora stepped up to offer support. Loving PAWSabilities later said, “Princess got her YES.”
Princess is safe now, but her recovery depends on a foster home that can keep her settled while the rescue handles her medical needs. For anyone in Southern California who can provide that home, the need is immediate and the help required is basic: space, care and consistency while she heals.
