The series then moves to Cardiff on September 17, Emirates Old Trafford on September 19, and into the ODI leg at Durham on September 22, Headingley on September 24 and The Kia Oval on September 27. For a new arrival, that is a useful runway. Six matches offer more than one chance to settle in.
Why Donald's call-up matters
