College football is headed back to Lambeau Field for one night. Notre Dame and Wisconsin are scheduled to meet in a Shamrock Series game at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6, giving Wisconsin Football fans a rare chance to watch a game at one of the sport’s most recognizable venues.
The matchup brings with it a full slate of gameday changes around the stadium. Parking is limited because the majority of spots are sold out, and fans should expect a tighter traffic and access setup than usual. The Johnsonville Tailgate Village is closed to the public because of a private event, which removes one of the normal gathering spots around Lambeau Field.
What fans need to know
Atrium access opens at 12:30 p.m. on gameday through the American Family Insurance Gate. Fans with mobile parking passes may enter the Lambeau Field parking lots beginning at 2:30 p.m., and stadium gates open at 4:30 p.m. One important rule also goes into effect at 2:30 p.m.: once fans exit the stadium, they may not re-enter.
Several Lambeau Field facilities are also operating on adjusted hours around the game. On Saturday, Sept. 5 at 5 p.m., the main floor of the Atrium and the Packers Hall of Fame will close for a private event. The Packers Pro Shop closes at 6 p.m. that same day, and 1919 Kitchen & Tap is closed all day Saturday for a private event.

This is more than a regular nonconference game. It is a marquee Shamrock Series matchup, and it adds another chapter to Lambeau Field’s place as a special-event venue beyond the NFL. For Wisconsin, it is also a chance to play in a unique setting with a packed stadium and a condensed gameday footprint.
