Texas Athletics is rolling out a new interactive 3D map for football gamedays at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, giving fans a digital way to navigate the home of University of Texas football beginning with this week's season opener against Texas State.
The new map is designed to help Longhorn Nation find seating areas, concessions, restrooms, first aid, water stations, gates and other fan services in one place. It also brings together pregame destinations outside the stadium gates, which have become a bigger part of the Texas Football gameday experience.
What fans can expect
According to Drew Martin, Deputy Athletics Director at Texas Athletics, the goal is to make gameday easier to navigate. He said fans can use the new interactive map starting with the season opener versus Texas State, and described the platform as a way to help people discover and move around DKR and everything surrounding it.
The map is part of a broader approach that also includes Fan Journeys, a feature set to offer three suggested Fan Tracks in the 2026 season: Families, Essentials and Explorers. That gives fans a more guided way to plan their gameday experience before they even arrive at the stadium.
Texas Athletics said the platform is intended to connect Fan Journeys with the stadium map and future wayfinding, with step-by-step navigation planned down the road. Martin called the rollout just the beginning of what could become a powerful tool for the Texas gameday experience.
The new experience is available through the Texas Longhorns app and TexasLonghorns.com, with the technology powered by Mappedin. For a program that has long emphasized the full atmosphere around Texas Football gamedays, the move adds a modern layer to how fans can get around on Saturdays.
In practical terms, that matters. For fans heading to the season opener, the new map is less about novelty and more about convenience — a single digital place to find where to go, what to look for and how to move through the stadium environment more efficiently.
