Graham & Brown revealed Rose Earth as its colour of the year for 2027 last night, and Heather Young said the Dulux Soulful Sage trend 2027 is already visible in the warm, earthy pink shade. The paint company tied the colour to natural mineral pigments found in clay deposits in Italy.
Young, Ideal Home’s Editor in Chief, said she was immediately drawn to the shade. “I've long been a fan of earthy pinks – I've used these tones in both my home office and my bedroom – so I was immediately drawn to Rose Earth,” she said.

She described the colour as “a very calming colour that brings warmth and feels grounded.” Young also said, “The beauty of it is that it sits happily with lots of different shades so it's supremely usable – something I think is really important when selecting a colour of the year.”
That combination explains why Rose Earth sits between a neutral and a statement shade. It is presented as grounded and soothing, yet Graham & Brown’s framing also gives it a lighter, more playful edge than beige or taupe. Roselle Grove and 80th anniversary
Graham & Brown also unveiled Roselle Grove as its design of the year while revealing a mural of the year. Roselle Grove uses large-scale florals and botanicals inspired by English gardens, and it blends Indian chintz dating back to the 16th century with a traditional English aesthetic popular in Victorian times.
The main Roselle Grove design comes in four colourways, including a dusky pink version that coordinates with Rose Earth. Graham & Brown is celebrating its 80th anniversary, and the reveal places Rose Earth at the centre of the brand’s 2027 direction.
