Fi recalls 2 supplements in Dog Supplement Salmonella Recall

Fi initiated a dog supplement salmonella recall for two dog products after an ingredient supplied to its manufacturer was linked to possible salmonella contamination. The company told people who bought the products to stop using them and throw them away.

The recalled items are Fi Calming supplement for Dogs 180g, lot number 26118, and Fi 8-in-1 Formula supplement for Dogs 180g, lot number 26159. They were sold directly to consumers and through Amazon and Chewy.

Fi said the recall covers only the two 180g supplements tied to those lot numbers. That matters for buyers trying to check packaging, because the recalled products can be matched by the lot number on the container rather than by the product name alone.

Salmonella can affect both pets and people. Dogs can become infected by eating contaminated products, while people can be affected by handling the products or through animal waste after pets have eaten them. Pets with salmonella infections may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever and vomiting.

The recall comes even though the contamination is only potential. Fi’s manufacturer suspended production while it investigates, so the company has already moved to stop more product from reaching buyers before the inquiry is finished.

Healthy people infected with salmonella can have nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever. Buyers of either affected supplement should not keep using it; they were told to throw it away, which leaves the practical job now with the customer rather than the seller.

Amazon and Chewy

The route of sale matters for anyone who ordered through Amazon and Chewy as well as those who bought directly from Fi. The recall spans both products, both lot numbers, and the distribution channels already in consumers’ homes.

Fi has not given a completion date for its investigation. For now, the useful step is simple: check for Fi Calming supplement for Dogs 180g lot 26118 and Fi 8-in-1 Formula supplement for Dogs 180g lot 26159, then stop use and discard any package that matches.
