United Airlines delays Newark Dubai route return to March 27, 2027 — United Airlines Dubai Flight Suspension

United Airlines has widened its United Airlines Dubai flight suspension, removing all Newark Liberty International Airport to Dubai International Airport flights from the upcoming winter schedule and pushing the route’s return to March 27, 2027. The change leaves the 5,962-nautical-mile service out of the schedule for another winter season after months away.

The carrier had planned to bring the route back on October 24, 2026. Under the latest update, daily service is now set to resume on March 27, 2027 with the 350-seat Boeing 777-300ER, the same aircraft United has assigned to the route.

Newark Liberty International Airport schedule gap

United introduced nonstop service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Dubai International Airport in March 2023 and flew it daily until February 2026, when the route stopped after the war in Iran broke out. The latest schedule update removes every flight from the upcoming winter, extending the gap to more than a year from the route’s last departure.

That matters for passengers because the route moved 169,212 round-trip travelers between March 2025 and February 2026. United filled 83.1% of its Dubai seats, and an estimated 42% of the traffic connected from elsewhere in North America or Latin America through Newark.

March 27, 2027 return

The revised start date also stretches the break well beyond United’s earlier October 24, 2026 plan. In practical terms, anyone looking for nonstop Newark-Dubai travel will have to wait through another winter before the schedule returns.

The route was a long-haul link built for daily flying, and the carrier still says it expects to operate it daily when it comes back. The schedule remains subject to change as the return date approaches.
