That is why Friday feels important even before a ball is kicked. West Ham’s three home Championship games this season have already drawn crowds of 62,264, 59,113 and 61,180, so the London Stadium is used to big turnouts. But if Wrexham help push the attendance beyond 54,096, it will confirm just how far their reach has gone since the takeover.
