Arkansas’s 2027 Texas schedule is now set, and it gives Dave Van Horn’s team one of the more notable road trips on the Razorbacks’ Southeastern Conference slate. Texas will be one of Arkansas’s five SEC road series opponents, with the teams scheduled to meet April 23-25.
The announcement is part of a larger 2027 schedule release that gives Arkansas a clear look at its conference path. The Razorbacks will play 56 regular-season games, including 10 Southeastern Conference series, after finishing 2026 with a 41-22 overall record and a 17-13 SEC mark. That was enough to continue a strong run for the program, which has now put together nine consecutive 40-win campaigns.
The Texas trip stands out because the Longhorns also reached the College World Series in 2026, adding another high-profile opponent to Arkansas’s conference schedule. The series gives the Razorbacks a road test against a team that arrived at the sport’s biggest stage last season and should again be in the mix in 2027.
Early season and neutral-site highlights
Arkansas is scheduled to open the season Feb. 19-21 against Butler before heading to the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, from Feb. 26-28. That gives the Razorbacks an early chance to face quality competition before SEC play fully settles in.
The schedule also includes a trip to the SEC Tournament, which is set for May 25-30 at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Ala. For Arkansas, the road to Hoover will be shaped by a conference slate that includes Texas, along with the rest of the league’s usual demands.
Van Horn now has the full outline for a season that will require depth, consistency and another strong SEC showing. The Texas series is one of the key dates on that calendar, and it will be one of the first road tests fans circle when looking ahead to 2027.
