3&2 in the morning foursomes put Stark and Grant in front against Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz. 2&1 in the afternoon fourballs followed, a second point that kept the pair unbeaten at this year’s event and gave Europe steady scoring on the day.
8-8 was the state of play heading into Sunday’s singles, with each side needing to turn team-session points into a final-day total. For Europe, the two victories from Stark and Grant mattered because they came in both formats on the same Saturday, not from a one-off surge.

Half a point from four matches was the return from Charley Hull and Lottie Woad by Saturday night. They were beaten in both Saturday sessions, including a 6&5 loss to Alison Lee and Lauren Coughlin in the foursomes, leaving Europe relying on other pairings to keep the match level.
"We didn't hole many putts in the morning and all afternoon, and that's the difference, really," Woad said on Saturday evening. "The people we played were holing 15-footers and we weren't." Hull added: "Just couldn't buy a putt," a blunt read on a day that turned on conversion rather than chances created.
