Sky Go now has a new version for Sky Glass and Sky Stream customers. The update adds full HD streaming, Continue Watching, My Library, and the ability to set recordings while away from home.
For customers, that means the app is no longer just a remote companion. It is closer to the same viewing setup they use on the television, with fewer steps between a show on the sofa and the same title on a phone or tablet.

Carli Kerr, the MD of Sky TV & NOW, said: “Great entertainment should fit around customers’ lives. Millions of customers already use Sky Go to watch what they love when they’re out and about. The new version is designed for Sky Glass and Sky Stream customers, bringing more of the experience they enjoy on the big screen to their devices, so it’s easier to pick up a show, follow the match or set something to record wherever they are.”
That quote maps closely to the new tools in the app. Continue Watching lets a Sky Glass or Sky Stream customer start a Sky Original in the living room and carry on later on mobile or tablet.
My Library pulls together shows, films, sport, recently watched items, and downloads in one place. The app also adds new show and movie pages with programme information, cast and crew details, Rotten Tomatoes scores, recommendations, and options to save, record, or download.
Sky OS layout in Sky Go
The redesign takes its visual cues from Sky OS. The new navigation bar puts Home, the TV Guide, My Library, Sport, and Search within easy reach.
From the home screen, customers can move into the Best of Sky, Movies, TV shows, Sport, and Kids. A refreshed TV Guide cuts the steps needed to choose and tune into live TV channels, while the Sport section pulls together what is live now and what is coming up.
The app also gives access to all live and on-demand Sky content, including live Sky Sports, plus selected partner content tied to the subscription. Sky says that includes more than 1,500 football matches this season, every Formula 1 race weekend, international cricket Test, and golf Majors coverage.
Sky Glass and Sky Stream limits
The upgrade is presented as a major shift, but the rollout is described only for Sky Glass and Sky Stream customers. Sky Go is included at no extra cost with a Sky TV subscription, and Sky Mobile customers can stream on the go without using their mobile data, yet the new version’s wider availability is not set out here.
That leaves the practical question for existing users: whether the revised app will stay limited to those TV customers or move more broadly across Sky Go users. For now, the safest reading is that Sky Glass and Sky Stream customers get the new experience first, with no further platform expansion specified.
