Amber Davies will star as Elle Woods in the Legally Blonde musical when it transfers to the West End. The run is set for the London Coliseum from 22 March to 22 May 2027, giving the production a fixed London window after its current UK and Ireland tour.

Davies will reprise the role following the current UK and Ireland tour, extending her run in a production from ROYO and Curve. She also has recent West End credentials: in 2025, she originated Jordan Baker in The Great Gatsby at the London Coliseum and won the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Supporting Performer in a Musical for that performance.

Legally Blonde The Musical itself is built around music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, with a book by Heather Hach, adapted from Amanda Brown’s novel and the 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Coolidge. That lineage has helped the title travel cleanly between formats, and the West End booking now gives it a premium venue rather than another tour stop.
Accessibility performances in May
Three access performances are already set inside the London Coliseum run: an audio-described performance on 20 April 2027, a captioned performance on 5 May 2027, and a signed performance on 11 May 2027. At certain performances, Elle Woods will be played by an alternate performer, a practical casting choice that means audiences should check their ticket details rather than assume Davies appears at every show.
That split is the main operational point for anyone buying in early. The headline casting is Davies, but the schedule and the alternate performer arrangement turn this into a limited-run booking with more moving parts than a simple one-star transfer.
