The decoration at Palacio Nacional includes an illuminated figure of Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez, while the report says Sheinbaum used the name Josefa Ortiz Téllez Girón last year. Elián Zidán also pointed to the names Leona Vicario and Gertrudis Bocanegra among the decoration references, and he said to watch what changes are added to the arenga this year. He asked, “Por qué?”
He added, “Y por supuesto, estaremos pendientes a ver cuáles van a ser esos mañanera, informó que van a haber cambios, que se van a agregar a heroínas y héroes de la patria.” The unresolved part is not the ceremony itself, but which names and phrases Sheinbaum will add when she speaks from the balcony before the country hears the first words of the night.
