Damson Madder Clarks has moved the label into footwear for the first time, launching a two-shoe capsule built on Clarks silhouettes. The release puts a Wallabee and a Mary Jane mule into immediate sale, with sizes and prices set for shoppers who already know both brands' codes.

Fontaine Anderson and the fit

Fontaine Anderson said, "We were often styling our collections and campaigns using Clark’s classic Wallabee shoes," and added, "The styles sit so effortlessly with our apparel collections that it felt like a natural fit to extend our design handwriting onto two of Clarks’ most iconic silhouettes," That makes this more than a logo swap: Damson Madder is using footwear to extend a design language it has already been applying to Clarks shapes.

The capsule keeps that logic tight. One style is the Walla Damson Wallabee in a pillarbox red colourway, while the other is the Nomad Damson Mule in chocolate plum. Both arrive in UK sizes 3-7, which gives the drop a narrow, ready-to-buy size run rather than a broad seasonal rollout.

Walla Damson and Nomad Damson

The Walla Damson Wallabee carries bespoke hiking-inspired lacing and eyelets on the upper, plus custom tonal red decorative lacing on the vamp. Its heel is engraved with a hiking Damson Girl character, a nod to the original Trekman motif from the 1970s.

The Nomad Damson Mule takes Clarks’ original Nomad style and reworks it as a Mary Jane style open-back mule. It uses a bespoke double strap with D and M silver branded buckles, and both shoes include a polka-dot-printed interior footbed.

UK sizes 3-7

At £170 for the Nomad Damson Mule and £155 for the Walla Damson Wallabee, the pricing keeps the two-shoe capsule close enough to read as one commercial offer, not two separate experiments. The higher price sits on the mule, which carries the extra strap hardware and the open-back Mary Jane construction.

The sharper story, though, is that Damson Madder has chosen two of Clarks' most recognisable silhouettes for its first footwear move and kept the design changes visible rather than subtle. That is the right call for a debut: enough familiar structure to anchor the launch, enough Damson Madder detail to make the shoes feel newly authored, and the collection is available to shop now at damsonmadder.com.
