Sheryl J. Anderson will again serve as showrunner on Ladies of the House, which is loosely based on Lauren Edmondson’s novel and centers on three women. In the new series, the owner of a winery dies unexpectedly and his wife and two adult daughters must deal with the business, their extended family and the men in their lives.
Anderson executive produces Ladies of the House alongside JoAnna Garcia Swisher and Kate Gordon under their Rolling Clover banner and Black Label Media, with Swisher set to executive produce and eyed to star. That gives Netflix a fast creative handoff: the same core TV operator who adapted Sweet Magnolias from Sherryl Woods now moves into a fresh order with a built-in lead.
A five-season ending
