Levi Kitchen won the 250 overall in Los Angeles and kept the points lead by only three points after a double-points night that kept the championship picture tight in the 2026 SMX playoffs.
The Los Angeles round came into focus as one of the most important stops of the season because the standings were still wide open. Before the race, Ryder DiFrancesco, Cole Davies, Daxton Bennick and Chance Hymas were all still in contention, which made every position matter even more with the double-points format.
How the night unfolded
In the second moto, Beaumer and Difrancesco went 1-2 on the start, while Daxton Bennick crashed on lap 2. By the 13-minute mark, Levi Kitchen had taken the lead, and he stayed in control from there. Jo Shimoda moved into second on lap 21, but Kitchen held on to secure the overall win.
Nick Romono also made his way through the wildcard race and finished 11th in moto 1, adding another notable result to the Los Angeles program.
What it means next
After Los Angeles, Kitchen still leads the 250 class standings by just three points, so the title race remains extremely close heading into the final round in Missouri. With only one stop left, the Los Angeles result did not settle anything — it simply gave Kitchen a small cushion in a championship battle that is still very much alive.
