Over the weekend, Crosby posted the image with the line, “Bought a cage for the girls when they need to go in time out.” That is the detail that set the row moving: the picture showed her two children in the storage box, while the caption pointed readers toward a far harsher reading.
She later answered on Instagram with a direct correction: “Guys my DMs. That is obv not a child cage and we obvs don’t even do time outs! It is however a cage lmao but for teddys! How bl**dy cute.” She added, “I was totally influenced and I can’t even remember now by who! But it’s so cute and me and the girls built it all ourselfs it was so easy I’ll link.”

At the center of the backlash were Alba-Jean, who is three, and Pixi, who is 20 months old, both with Jake Ankers. Crosby also posted a picture of her eldest child smiling with teddy bears that had been tidied away, which pushed the explanation away from discipline and toward storage and play.
The contradiction is what made the post travel: the original caption suggested a cage for time out, but Crosby’s follow-up said they do not even do time outs. She then recast the item as a toy organizer for soft toys, and said she would link it, turning the moment from a parenting gripe into a product-driven clarification.
