Sakutaro Higashi got a spotlight of his own at Tokyo Game Show 2026, where ASCII.jp reported a Super Danganronpa 2x2 photo spot at the Happinet booth. The setup turned a release-window promotion into something visitors could actually stage, with a commemorative photo available if the timing lined up.
Happinet at 06-N04
The booth sat in Exhibition Hall 6, 06-N04, placing Super Danganronpa 2x2 right in the exhibition traffic rather than off to the side. That is the practical value of the setup: visitors did not just see branding, they were invited to step into the game’s visual language before the title reaches stores and digital platforms.
Visitors could pose in the style of Danganronpa by using phrases like “Got That Wrong!” and “I Agree!” The phrasing matters because it tells you the display was built as an interactive photo stop, not a passive poster wall; the booth asked attendees to perform the series’ call-and-response energy, then leave with a keepsake image.
Original Mode and Kyoki Mode
Super Danganronpa 2x2 is scheduled for release on January 14, 2027, and it is set for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store. The game includes Original Mode, which keeps the original scenario with refreshed visuals and presentation for current-gen consoles, alongside Kyoki Mode, which tells a new story.
Kyoki Mode keeps the same setting and characters, but changes the victims, culprits, and the tricks behind the incidents. That split gives the pre-release exhibit a sharper purpose than a standard sequel tease: the booth is selling both familiarity and revision, and the photo spot is the cleanest way to package that pitch for a TGS crowd already primed by the series’ scale, which had surpassed 10 million units in cumulative worldwide shipments as of January 2026.
January 14, 2027
The next marker is straightforward: Super Danganronpa 2x2 arrives on January 14, 2027. For now, the TGS 2026 booth does the marketing work the game itself cannot yet do, turning a familiar series formula into a hands-on stop that makes the difference between Original Mode and Kyoki Mode easy to read in one visit.
