The Friday Foursomes lineup is set at Medinah Country Club, where the U.S. will try to build on a 3-2 lead after the opening day of the Presidents Cup. Brandt Snedeker and Geoff Ogilvy announced five alternate-shot matches for Friday, with the session starting at 2:05 p.m. ET.
Foursomes is the more difficult format in this event because both players on a team alternate shots with the same ball. That makes the opening matchups especially important, and it also adds pressure to the captains' choices. The Americans led after the opening day for the ninth time in the last 10 editions of the tournament, so the Friday session will help determine whether that early edge grows or tightens.
Friday Foursomes pairings
The first match will feature Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns against Corey Conners and Nick Taylor for the International Team in Match 1. That one is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. ET.
At 2:19 p.m. ET, Russell Henley and Jacob Bridgeman will go out for the U.S. against Sungjae Im and Hideki Matsuyama for the International Team in Match 2.
Match 3 is set for 2:33 p.m. ET, with Collin Morikawa and Wyndham Clark taking on Ryan Fox and Min Woo Lee.
Justin Thomas and Cameron Young will play Adam Scott and Christiaan Bezuidenhout for the International Team in Match 4 at 2:47 p.m. ET.
The fifth and final Foursomes match of the day gives the U.S. another chance to extend its lead after the first session at Medinah. With five matches on the board and the Americans already ahead, Friday's start carries immediate weight in Presidents Cup TV coverage and the overall chase for momentum.
