Staffordshire Police arrested a 41-year-old man from Tutbury after a woman in her 30s was found dead at Holts Lane in Tutbury at about 11:45 BST on Saturday morning. Paramedics tried to help her, but she was confirmed dead at the scene.
The man is in custody for questioning, while the woman’s next of kin have been informed and will be supported by specially-trained officers. Staffordshire Police said: “We are currently treating the death as unexplained whilst we gather further evidence.”
