The decision came after Mims was limited in all three Broncos practices leading up to the game. He was also inactive in Week 2 against the Jaguars, so this marked the second straight week he was unavailable for Denver.

With Mims out, the Broncos had to move forward without one of their wide receiver options in a game that was already shaping up as a significant early-season test.
